It's no secret that we're obsessed with romcom author TJ Alexander and their endearing characters from "Chef's Kiss" and "Chef's Choice" -- especially cheese-obsessed Luna from "CC"! And what could be better than chatting with TJ about their books while enjoying some snackies together?
My mind is still so blown and my heart so full from Chef's Choice that I'm STILL struggling to put it into words! (Can you use that as the blurb?!) This is a book that eats like a meal. Appetizers: cute and flirty; an easy story to jump into (and charcuterie boards abound!) Salad: refreshingly original characters and crisp dialogue Main course: an enriching story with heart that warms you down to your toes -- and some spice to keep you ON your toes (but the only *cheese* comes from actual dairy products) Dessert: and it's just so darn SWEET! Trans joy is my new favorite dessert! How does a funny, flirty, spicy romcom still manage to educate me (a cisgender woman) about varied trans experiences while still feeling wholly authentic?! I learned so much, I laughed so much, I LOVED Luna and JP *so much*!!! TJ Alexander is now an auto-buy for me! (Caution: make sure your cheese drawer is stocked BEFORE you start this book.)

How am I supposed to write a review of "SCiNPS" when my vocabulary has devolved into nothing but wordless HAPPY SQUEALS?!??!? TJ's trademark queer joy in this story of second chances, childhood sweethearts, and unabashed acceptance from family and friends has rendered my heart, mind, and soul into a giddy mess of warm fuzzies.
